NEW - apartment for lodging! We now offer a full size apartment for lodging and have put a stove in our efficiency for ALL the comforts of home! Our apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, living room with a 55" flat screen TV, private bedroom, full bathroom, it has 5 beds (two are doubles), a large wader & fishing rod room and a private fenced in back yard with a grill! Salmon Heaven Lodge and Guide Service: We are located in Altmar, NY at the head waters of the famous Salmon River. We are less then 100 yards to the Fly-Fishing section of the Salmon River and a short walk to the Altmar bridge/ boat ramp. The Salmon River is a World Class Salmon, Steelhead and Brown Trout fishery. We offer professionally Guided drift boat and wading trips for the Salmon River, Lake Ontario tributaries and several smaller trout streams we fish in the spring and early summer. We offer Lake Charters on Lake Ontario and Oneida Lake. Our lodge offers well maintained private rooms each with a private bathroom and satellite TV (180 channels including HBO). We have a spacious common room with a large flat screen TV where you can relax, watch TV, read or book or engage in a few fish stories. There is coffee/ tea/ hot chocolate available 24-hours and we set out a continental breakfast buffet each AM. For your convenience we have a wader room and washer/ dryer for your use. There is free WiFi throughout the lodge. There are three restaurant within short walking distance including SRO which is our own a tackle shop and tavern.  In addition to World Class fishing, our lodge has direct access to hundreds of ATV & Snowmobile Trails, Whitewater Rafting & Kayaking. We are one of the few places east of the Rockies where you can legally ride your ATV on the village roads!
